The Mission of the Montana College Access Network (MCAN) is to support, serve, and enhance our affiliate members in their efforts to increase post-secondary education participation and completion for all Montanans.
MCAN is a statewide organization.
While MCAN is a statewide organization many of our largest affiliate members are located here in Helena. Some of those members include Department of Labor and Industry, Office of Public Instruction, Office of Commisions of Higher Education, GEAR UP, Reach Higher Montana, MT Aspire, TRiO, Helena College.
While MCAN receives some supposrt from affiliate members, over time MCAN seeks to be able to provide more professional development experiences for its members, and ensure its long-term sustainability. Current priorities include conducting the annual MCAN conference and setting up possible financial record keeping services since we now also have a new advocacy grant from NCAN.

Funds from the AFCN would be used to support the annual MCAN conference. The conference
is intended to bring together several stakeholders and provide training and opportunities to share best practices.
