WACRS is an all volunteer non-profit group whose mission is to trap, neuter and return (TNR) cats as an alternative to euthanizing feral cats and kittens in Lewis and Clark county and surrounding areas. We provide shelter, quality care, medical care for cats and kittens that can not be returned to colonies. We also do the same for cats and kittens that are in abusive, dangerous or neglectful situations until we can find a forever home for them. We also receive cats and kittens from situations were the caregiver is deceased or no longer can care for them. If we are unable to find homes for them they live out their natural lives at the sanctuary.
Lewis and Clark county and sometimes surrounding areas.
In the past 10 years WACRS has handled over 2000 cats and kittens, thus reducing the feral population.
Costs for spay and neuters and medical care
WACRS has 5 other fund raisers each year but they don’t cover all the costs of the medical needs of the animals.
