With influences the likes of Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Chris Stapleton and Neal Young when you attend a Sleeping Giants gig you are guaranteed to hear some of your favorite tunes; dissected and arranged in their own Sleeping Giant style that you can’t help but tap your toes and sing along to. Founded in Helena, The Sleeping Giants began as a duo consisting of Tim Lashley holding down the beat on drums and Brett Veltri belting out the tunes and strumming guitar. Over the years the band has evolved its sound utilizing the musical genius of a vast array of characters. Bass, Electric guitar, Violin and Keyboards have been thrown into the mix which has created a unique Rock/Americana/Jam band performance. On Thursday December 20th at the Lewis and Clark Tap room, The Sleeping Giants Cast will consist of the Foundation Brett and Tim joined by the Rockin “Lightening” Rod Morrison throwing down some luscious leads on electric guitar and very special guest Mr. Ken Nelson adding his Unique Musical Wizardry on the keys. No doubt this will be a fun filled evening of music in a great venue that serves some of the best beer that will ever pass your lips.
